Restaurant Mother India was opened by the Sharma family in 1997, and is located in the center of Fredrikstad. They have specialized in North Indian cuisine with a focus on spices and raw materials of the highest quality, and their own fresh spice mixes (masalas). All dishes are prepared from scratch.

As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted by pleasant surroundings. Indian art adorns the walls, Indian music sets the mood and friendly staff welcome you. 

At Mother India you can choose between dishes containing chicken, lamb or seafood. You can also order dishes made in the Tandoori oven. You decide the strength of the dish yourself. If you are careful, it pays to take a mild version, but if you want to challenge your taste buds, you go for strong or extra strong. Why not try nan bread, here there are also several varieties to choose from!
